I would encourage you to read the original reporting, including John Tierney's column in the NYT, that the FOX News item referenced. These are both great videos to talk about. The cost/benefits of chemicals to control pests that can be deadly. I would suggest there is a middle ground somewhere between complete adherence to "better living through chemistry" and to ban all chemicals. Also it is important to understand the context of 1962 and how the chemical industry and pesticides were viewed.
